is there any way to move items such as launchbar, konfabulator, and synergy around the menubar freely as you would a regular menubar item by holdin down the command key? I've seen it done in screenshots before, and would like to do it.

Synergy has a preference to allow you to do this, though Synergy isn't 100% under Panther yet......... as for the other ones, hold the command key and try to move........

hey y'all i just found a workaround for this!

open the information-window of your user-folder, and then under "name" rename it to the name you want to have in your finder-sidebar.

your folder then gets the generic folder symbol, but still doesn't display your name properly. so move this folder out of the sidebar, and via finder/preferences/sidebar reactivate your user-folder in the sidebar..

and woo, there you go =)

hehe, you can edit old posts you know that right?

as far as moving the menu extras goes, the only luck ive had is changing the startup order of the apps. i you have these apps as login items, try playing with the order of them

you can quit them (no?) and then restart them to play with this. as far as i know, no shareware exists that can do this.

Dan.
