So a weird thing happen today, my iTunes music store account stopped working here in Japan. Even though I have a US account, it says "The iTunes music store isn't available in your country." This is apparently happening to other people at my school as well.

Weird that this is happening right now.

They probably see that you have a Japanese IP address.

I've had a few weird geographic IP-based problems of my own lately. My server (which is located in NY) is suddenly having its IP listed as though it comes from Germany.

My hope IP which should be based in Cleveland is suddenly showing as from California (my ISP is based in Washington, so that isn't it either).

Oh no! The Intarweb is b0rk3d!!11!!!11111!!!

I had to sign in a couple of times before it allowed me to access the US store, while in Japan. Thank goodness Apple got its act together and is opening the a Japanese Music Store in March. Beats MSs new store here in Japan, with its 25,000 songs. Yet another area where Apple can beat Sony on its home turf.

I had the same problem accessing it while in Singapore. Think it might have something to do with iTunes 4.7. Finally got into it after I went into my account information and hit save (though I didn't have to change anything on it).

This is a computer-generated message and needs no signature.
