i'm selling this for my sister. she has used this laptop for the past few years finishing school and is now ready to sell and upgrade.

she was running 10.4 on here, but i would say just barely. you can run safari and itunes together pretty well. this is mainly what she used it for. as an internet machine, this will work. you will need to add another 512mb RAM here, to get that kind of performance. this is not a large expense. owc has it for less than $30.

i have the original software pack that came with it, but not the original box. i am selling it pretty much stock here. i'll take care of ups shipping and packaging.

i've done a test of everything. the battery is dead. everything else is fine. no dead pixels, no quirky problems, boots up every time, and works fine with ac adapter. cosmetically, it has scratches here and there and it is missing one of the rubber feet. i am selling as is, considering it's age.

ibook
G3 600mhz
12" lcd (1024 resolution)
20gb hard drive
combo drive, CDRW/DVD player
128mb RAM
no airport card is included, but it will work.
two usb ports
one firewire
headphone
ethernet and modem port

$150+ actual shipping within the US, via paypal.

feel free to make offers. ask any questions. i may put it up on ebay next week.

You've had little interest because it's priced fairly high.

No, sorry never mind, its PC2700. (compatible with pc2100)
I would be willing to let it go for abut $8 shipped, but i dont think it works with your iBook, only later ibooks/powerbooks.

we'll see. but i do research the selling prices i use. i'm not just grabbing them out of the air. i think it's priced fairly, but not high by any stretch of the word.

some ebay completed auctions listings i compared with. these ended with the last two weeks.

$252.90+$24.95 shipping $277.85
$132.50+$20 shipping $152.50
$160.00+$29 shipping $189.00
$180.00+$12 shipping $192.00
$147.38+$20 shipping $167.38
$189.00+$24 shipping $213.00
$158.01+$18 shipping $176.01
$127.50+$12.95 shipping $140.45
$202.50+$20.35 shipping $222.85

obviously, there are different systems in different conditions with slightly different specs here and there, but all of these were working systems with all of the items included. some included software others didn't. obviously some people got a great deal on their ibook, and some paid a little more than it was worth.

i've system with broken ports, trackpads, cracked cases, but still working. all of those went for around $100 + shipping.

i've had 3 offers close to the $150, so while it's "little" interest, i don't feel it's the price.

i take all that into consideration here.

so if you think the price is high for you, please feel free to offer what you would think is a fair price and i might sell it to you at that price. if you are just stopping by to give unsolicited advice, i assure you i don't need it.
as ever,
sonny

I have been using this exact iBook to surf on the couch and do a little " retro " gaming ( Cro-Mag Rally ).
I love these little machines.

exactly, for the half the price of those new netbooks, you get a 12" screen and optical drive.
