The Apple Reseller has notified me that they cannot obtain quickly the 1333MHZ 8GB DIMMS for my Mac Pro That I have purchased, but they have not yet built.

They say they use the 1066MHz 8GB DIMMS. And there won't be a problem.

Can someone please advise if this is acceptable?

I have purchased 64GB DIMMS on a 2 x 2.66GHz 6 Core Server.

I will be using the Mac Pro for:

1 SQL Database (1st Fusion VM)
1 Virtual Apache Service (2nd Fusion VM)
1 Active Directory Service ADS (3rd Fusion VM)
1 Linux VM
1 Solaris VM
1 WIndows Ultimate VM
1 Windows XP Pro.

No. The 6 Core CPUs require 1333MHz RAM.
The quad cores run RAM at 1066MHz, but may require 1333MHz anyway.

Your 12 core model definitely needs 1333MHz modules.
I have plenty of more important things to do, if only I could bring myself to do them....
