Does anyone know whether the temperature monitoring has been brought back to powerbooks in Tiger?

(And I mean temp monitoring that updates continuously.)

It works on my 12" in 10.3.9 using ThermographX. All four sensors continuously update.

Thanks wunderkind. I've got the 1.5ghz 15" and I'd be curious to hear from someone who has Tiger installed on this machine. It may be different, because I think continuous temp monitoring worked on the new 12" in Panther while it didn't work on the new 15s.

I've got Tiger installed on my 15" 1.25Ghz Powerbook. Where would this be found?

Nomadic, 'Temperature Monitor' is a free program that gives you a reading of your processor's temperature and displays the reading along side the menu items at the top right of your screen.

you can download it from Version Tracker at:

I have Tiger installed, and I can tell you without any monitoring applications, my 12" 1.33GHz is blowing out the fan like crazy.

The ambient temperature is around 65F here, and the machine is on an iCurve. What gives?

I've got a 15" 1.67 w/Tiger and temperature monitor does not update on the following sensors:
Processor/Controller Bottomside
Processor Bottomside
Power Supply Bottomside
Trackpad
Battery Temperature

I could have sworn this worked before I had to send in my powerbook for repair 1 month after I got it. When I got it back, I installed 10.3.9 and temperature monitor didn't update then either. Is this due to a new logic board being installed or is it OS dependent?

I use the Konfabulator widget. My PB17 (rev c w/ Tiger) is still running about 124 Farenheit, maybe a little lower.
