Is bidpay popular with scammers?
I got a third email from someone else, this time offering to use bidpay, but it seems to me like bidpay would be easily faked too.
I'm done with Craig's list for now. Three scammers is such a short period of time.

You've never heard "Dagnabit"?
You gotta admit, it's better than "frick".

It's kind of strange that the scammer is actually interested in the merchandise. I'm used to the usual suspects from Nigeria trying to get cashier's check refunds and such, but this was a little more thought out. I'm curious if the scammer responds.
I was trying to sell a vehicle for 6,000.00 on AutoTrader and received several offers and all from Nigerian scam attempts. About 8 of 'em. They would give you some bull about how they are interested in purchasing the vehicle and that their "client" (who actually has people buy their cars for them???) is in London on business. This person paid $10,000.00 for another car, that deal fell through and they'd like to send me the $10,000.00 cashier's check for which I'm to cash and promptly return $4000.00. It takes up to 48 hours for a bank to be verified, but cashier's checks are often taken at face value without verifying host bank so... you sign and cash the check and they'll come back for you in two to three days for that full amount. Since you endorsed the check, they come for you. I wanted to go through with it and line up someone at the PO box much like the scheme above, but was not as resourceful as our friend. This ROCKS!!!

So am I right to think we should avoid bidpay?
Also, a couple of the scams came from people with email addresses at fastermail.com (which I don't know anything about). Is that a sign too?

Thanks. I've posted the auction for the iPod mini here.
I'll post on the PowerBook today or tomorrow.
