That's impressive for your age and gender.

As a 24-year-old female with a 2005 Hyundai Tuscon, my insurance is about $230 every six months.

$200 a month is insanely expensive.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

Like everything else, cost for an item or service depends on where you live.

Before I sold my car I was paying almost $850 every six months for the absolute minimum coverage on a 15-year-old Honda Civic. That was after extensive shopping around. Most of that expense was due to living in a car-theft-prone part of Brooklyn (Crown Heights/Bed Stuy area). But even in the nice parts of Brooklyn (Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights) I would have had to pay almost $600 every six months for the same absolute minimum coverage. And I am a 38-year-old male with only two speeding tickets--both before I was 30--and two minor accidents in 20+ years of driving.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

How can you say that? Satch is an amazing guitarist.

(Except for his latest album, which was kinda "meh".)

Point taken. That would be a tragedy.

Damn! That's more than I pay for a new M3.

but I do get huge discounts for having all my insurance through the same company.

Sorry I didn't realize that he walked round with a t-shirt with 'I don't have a car' written on it !!!

Dunno about your chat-up lines turtle, but I can't ever remember walking up to a girl and saying 'Hi, I don't have a car, can I get you a drink?'.

You mean, in addition to the "I don't have a car" look on his face ?

I used to like that SNL sketch of Will Ferrell acting all superior because he drives a Dodge Stratus.

No doubt.

So is John McLaughlin.

Unfortunately "amazing" doesn't at all necessarily translate to "interesting".

YMMV, obviously - I just took the opportunity that presented itself.

I believe his words were, "I DRIVE A DODGE STRATUS!" It was on his "Best of" DVD.

Well like I said all the bars are right on the main downtown avenue and all the hot college chicks on my campus walk to bars, so chicks will ask me to walk them home and I will gladly oblige
