I am looking to buy 4 FULL copies of Adobe Creative Suite Design Standard, I see on this site:

http://www.superwarehouse.com/p.cfm?...MP=KAC-Froogle

the offer it at $949 each but it says License Type: Upsell

What does that mean? Is that legit for a company to buy and use on its own? Or do we need to own a Previous Adobe CS3 Suite?

I can't say for sure, but it sounds to me like they would send you one box/set of discs, but 4 site licenses to install on 4 systems?

I've never heard of an upsell license. Sounds weird.

Upsell means you need to have a previous version to get the stated pricing. For the full Master Suite, an upsell license would require ownership of Creative Suite 2.3 Premium, Creative Suite 2.0 Premium, Creative Suite 2.x Standard, Creative Suite 1.x Premium, Creative Suite 1.x Standard, Macromedia Studio 8, Macromedia Studio MX 2004, Macromedia Studio MX, Production Studio Premium, Production Studio Standard.

upsell means:

"would you like some fries or an apple pie with that?"

Yeah, if you already have a Creative Suite package, they can 'upsell' you a new higher spec package (eg. new Master for current Standard or Premium). But if you're looking for 4 full copies, then that might not be what you're after.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Yes, upsell is NOT volume! Also, remember that the CS license allows for 2 installs, though they're not supposed to be used at the same time.
