EDIT at 9:50 am PST WWDC day: The Apple Store UK is down now.

What's their problem anyway? Why must they close the entire store just to update a few items?

Anyways, I wonder what they are doing. The memory and display deals are still good on Sat. so it's not as if they're removing those.

It's back up now, and I don't see anything different.

Oh well, the wait for Monday continues...

Probably just the usual weekend maintenance. Doesn't it go down every weekend and sometimes during the week?

I think that they just want to keep everyone on their toes.

I will probably buy an iMac in the next couple of months (for work), and I'd MUCH prefer a 1.8 GHz G5 than a 1.25 GHz G4. The Power Mac is too much cash, and we'd prefer a small footprint anyway.

With the updates, I'm wondering why they haven't removed the $500 Cinema offer yet?

Very interesting... I remember reading something on being able to call the Japan Apple Store and they said that new laptops were on the way. My guess was a hoax, but now we are seeing curtains...

Guess that those aren't the usual weekend-maintainence curtains, are they?

btw, new laptops? I'd get excited about the G5 PBs now... if the PB's weren't updated a few weeks ago. aww, i gotta let it go.

Stevie just announced new AL-Displays at the WWDC (23" and 30", no word on the smaller ones yet).

http://www.macrumors.com/events/wwdc2004.html

I hope he's still got something in his sleeve... I wouldn't close an Apple-Stores curtain "just" because of new Displays. The 30" must look awesome though - 4.1 megapixels. weeeee...

3299$ for the 30 incher... according to the macrumors irc channel.

huh...

Whoa! No Tiger until next year (first half of '05). Does that mean a year from now? Probably close
