My friend is running an older power mac with OS 7.61 at 300 Mhz with 64 MB ram and keeps getting printer error -39. The printer is an Epson stylus color 600. He is not able to print at all. Any ideas??

Thanks

Alex

According to Epson's Support Site the following is a quote:

Q: When printing from my Macintosh I always get a type -39 error.
What should I do?

A: Make sure that the printer is functioning normally by running a
printer test page. If the test page prints fine, but you still
continue to get the error from the Macintosh, you may need to
upgrade your System software. If you are running System 7.5.2, we
would suggest that you upgrade to System 7.6.1 or higher. This is
also suggested by Apple.
