This is only the second update to OS X mac OS where something broke for me, and the first time around, I could blame Cisco's VPN kernel extension (Cisco seems to get surprised by OS updates every year). After updating my MacBook Pro to 10.12.2, not only did my printers disappear in the System Prefs, so did all the drivers apparently. If I try to manually add my office printer again, Add Printer dialog box finds it (it supports Bonjour), but after clicking on it, I get the beachball of death. After a minute or two (no joke), the beachball usually disappears, and I tried to select a custom driver — and my friend BOD returns for a minute or so. It can't find any installed printer drivers. So I reinstalled the Epson printer driver, tried it again, no luck. As a last resort, I tried the generic Postscript driver, but now the dialog box hangs when adding the printer. Has anyone had similar problems?
