As soon as I choose save in any Cocoa Application the program hangs. So my computer is pretty useless as it is now.

I checked with gdb in the terminal when trying to save a document in textedit. This is what gdb put out.

"^C
Program received signal SIGINT, Interrupt.

You're missing a system font needed to display Cocoa's save panel?
Geekspiff - generating spiffdiddlee software since before you began paying attention.

I dont know if I am. Have not altered anything with my fonts. Do you have any idea what font that might be?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Another guess is that the panel is trying to display a filename which is making the text system barf. Got any filenames containing weird characters in your home folder or Documents folder?

No, nothing like that. All the names are completely normal. It seems to be some low-level failure and I think I will reinstall my system. Just hate reinstalling it. And the problem is that I have no idea if this problem will come back.

Strange thing is that I can save in programs like Internet Explorer. I use Chimera as browsers but as soon as I want to download a file I have to start up Explorer and use that for download.
