This is a request I made at the MacThemes forum but I figured that I'd post the same thread here because I'd really like this, and I'm sure many people would like this theme.

"I'd reeeeaaaallly like a message style for Adium that looks something like this:

But where the background uses the blur thingy that someone made possible for terminal.
Like this:

Thanks !

ps. I don't like the darker transparent that's behind the text in the theme I'm using. So I'm talking of just the blurry background with text, nothing else (except display name and picture)"

I use Adium myself and I think that would look great with the transparent look.

How did you get it to show up as it does look in the picture.

Contact list:

Color Theme: HUD (Adium - Xtras - View Xtra: HUD)
List Layout: Overture 1928 (Adium - Xtras - View Xtra: Overture 1928)

Window style: Group bubbles
Opacity: 60% (you can adjust to fit your needs)

Note: I don't remember if I made any adjustments to the "color theme" or "list layout" as you can customize them further than just applying them.

----

Message style:

Message Style: Ethereal (Adium - Xtras - View Xtra: Ethereal)
Variant: Smoke (Scrollbar)

I checked the "use custom background" box and chose black color and then you can adjust the opacity in the small window that appears to suite your needs (I use 50% opacity)

Enjoy !
