Are you sure?

Isn't the Republican mantra: Tax cuts create jobs. Tax hikes kills jobs.

It could be. I don't really listen anymore.

Regardless, I think even someone who chants that mantra would say there are factors other than taxes which affect jobs.

Your argument makes it sound like the Republicans claim lower taxes create jobs no matter what. I'm pretty sure that's not their claim.

Tax cuts, tax cuts, tax cuts. No increase in taxes. Tax hikes are a job killer. Tax cuts creates jobs.

Yeah. I'm pretty sure Republicans say tax cuts create jobs and tax hikes kill jobs. That's their main argument and number one issue.

So why is the conservative hero Chris Christie so bad at creating jobs?

Why is the situation in an individual state you picked due to the governor, but the whole country is due to Obama?

Don't the governors who lowered unemployment in their state get credit?

Pretty sure the majority of governors are Republicans BTW.

Doesn't change the fact that Gov. Chris Christie is worser in job creation than the rest of the nation as a whole.

If tax hikes kills jobs and tax cuts create jobs, how do conservatives explain that Illinois have a much bigger drop in unemployment rate with its job hikes and NJ unemployment rate stayed virtually the same with its tax cuts?

They can't because conservatives have always been wrong about tax cuts.

Blanket Tax cuts (which Republicans and Conservatives argue for) are not very effective. At the end of the day if there is money to be made in a market, business will set up regardless of the higher taxes. Targeted tax cuts do work because mobile industries, for example Movie Production companies will go where its cheapest to film a movie that is also suitable as well. In the Movie Market that is a 4 way race between LA, NY, Toronto and Vancouver. 4 locations very suitable because of natural landscape, locations, experiences crews and supporting industry. Productions can bounce around from one spot to another due to costs so in a industry like that Tax Cuts are very important. If LA has the lowest production cost and its because of lower taxes more films will be produced in LA.

Large single investment companies, like a smelter or factory will locate to places that first meet the needs, second offer lower taxes. A Smelter has limited options on where it can setup shop, that will narrow choices down, but between those choices the lowest cost of operation will decide its final place. Once built and operating though future tax increases will not cause them to stop and shutdown either. This is why tax increases do not harm against business as its made out to. A tax increase would harm a mobile industry like the movie industry.

Blanket tax cuts result in lower taxes to the McDonalds, the Sears, the Targets and Walmarts of a state, which do not need it. They follow the money, that is consumers. If you have 2 states side by side and one had a corporate tax rate of 10% while the other had 16%, you would still find these businesses in both states. The smelter might be in the state with the 10% tax rate. And the State with a 16% tax rate might only charge a 2% tax rate in a targeted fashion to the movie industry making it the better choice for film production.

Republicans and Conservatives operate on flawed ideology not science and fact.

New Jersey’s unemployment rate is the 5th highest in the nation. Unemployment stayed virtually the same since Gov. Chris Christie took office.

We know conservatives love Gov. Chris Christie for 2 reasons: He cut taxes. He likes to yell at liberals, Democrats, or anyone who criticizes him.

It's obvious that Gov. Chris Christie don't know a damn thing about creating jobs.

Then Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts (D) is doing a pretty good job with unemployment at 6%:

http://www.deptofnumbers.com/unemployment/massachusetts/

It's interesting to look at that chart and see 1992 in comparison with 2008. I recall it being very hard to find a job in 1992 right out of college in New England...
