I have been having serious issues with my powerbook and its ethernet connection. Every so often it just disconnects from the network. I have no idea why. It isn't the cables, i have tried several. It isn't the network, as it does this on every network i put it on. And finally it does this both on os9 and osX, so it isn't the operating system. I checked for firmware updates on apples website and while there are updates for pismo etc addresssing what sounded like similar issues, there was nothing for the Lombard. (I tried downloading the pismo firmware anyway but no go on that, not that i expected it would install anyway) Suggestions? This is driving me insane.

Have you reset the power manager and zapped the usual suspects?

I would recommend a complete reinstall of the system just to be sure.
