Currently, I have very few games that actually use up the entire screen. For example, Halo, Quake III, Jedi Knight II, etc, don't take up the screen at all (although I'd like them to).

The point of this thread is to have people that know how to extend the screen for certain games post the solution to how to do so. Thanks.

I was able to set the resolution in MOHAA manually using the console, I believe. I'll do some digging and see if I can find out how I did it.

I was THRILLED when I launched Halo and 1600x1024 was a choice. Perfect for my 22" Apple Cinema Display.

This site looked like a winner for these sorts of tips, but there's not much there..

To get the fullscreen modes within, say, MOHAA you can either edit the CFG files or enter it into the console directly....

SET R_CUSTOMWIDTH 1152
SET R_CUSTOMHEIGHT 768
SET R_MODE -1
VID_RESTART

You only need to enter that into the console once and then it'll remember the settings. Change the width/height numbers to match your required screen resolution.

Age of Mythology/Warcraft3/Neverwinter Nights are much nicer and pick up all the options available to you. Running AoM on a 17" iMac is just sweet.

All of the Quake 3 engine games except for SoF II Multiplayer use the same technique for customized resolutions. You can do what NemesisEG mentioned or directly edit the appropriate .cfg file.

All fo the Unreal Engine games (except for maybe Raven Shield) use the same or similar methods.
Pre UT2K3, edit this

[MacDrv.MacClient]
FullscreenViewportX=640
FullscreenViewportY=480

In games released using the UT2K3 code:

[SDLDrv.SDLClient]
FullscreenViewportX=800
FullscreenViewportY=600

For Raven Shield it looks like you have to edit the User.ini file in /Rainbow Six 3 - Raven Shield/Raven Shield Data/Save/Profile/ I've never tried it personally.

[Engine.R6GameOptions]
R6ScreenSizeX=1024
R6ScreenSizeY=768
R6ScreenRefreshRate=-1

Halo, well, works for me on my PowerBook G4... I can't select the max resolution, but I choose an appropriate lower res wide screen option.
