I apologize if this has been posted before, but I didn't find anything through the search or Google. Anyway, after I quit an app, there is still a triangle under the app in the Dock, though it turns from black to white. After using my machine for a while, all the apps have the triangles under them. Is this a feature? I've included a pic to show what I'm talking about :
This is on a TiBook 667 with 512MB RAM and OS X 10.1.2. I'm just wondering if it's just me that's getting these. Also, the triangle is under Internet Explorer in the above shot.

I've noticed that also sometimes. If the dock is set to magnify, and I roll over the app again, the white triangle goes away.
Not a big deal, but interesting topic.

Ah, there's my problem. It doesn't go away on my TiBook, but does on my DP800. I roll over the app, but the triangles stay there. Only a reboot brings the dock back to normal.

Weird huh? Let Apple know. I am sure it won't be high on their list of priorities however.

LOL... you want Dock problems? Watch this!
Yes, I too sometime get the triangle stuck after an app quits. Usually clicking on that app's icon will make the triangle fade away. Clicking the app a second time will finally relaunch the app.

I haven't seen the white triangle glitch, but sometimes a single black pixel from the triangle stays behind (won't go away untill logout/restart).
Also sometimes the names above of items stop displaying (or, the name will appear randomly above an item and stay there for a while), but that hasn't happend in a very long time (maybe was fixed in one of the updates). Also the text can get stuck above an icon sometimes, but simply moving the mouse back over it clears it.

What gets to me is the text ghosting in translucent Terminal windows. Ugh!
