I don't know, they didn't bother me very much, but then again, I'm not the kind of person who believes everything I read and see on the internet.

Well, most of what they said was false, especially about the new G4 specs, etc. I see SpyMac not as a bad site, but as a site where people like to use their imagination.

No its just a bad site.
All they seem to care about is geting lots of trafic and making money from advertisers.

I felt the iWalk rumors were fake, but I definately expected faster G4 Pro machines and expected a new iMac.
Spymac did make for some exciting entertainment, I'll give them that much.

Steve Jobs has now said that the digital hub is complete. Photos, Music, Video and DVD. So it looks like there will definitely be no PDA. Apple will see how Tablet PC does and if successful the iBook will evolve into something like that.

SpyMac is to MacNN as The Enquisitor is to The New York Times.
This is the error message I got:
Rectal cranial inversion? Was the error that serious? Sounds painful!

When all is said and done, the rumor sites are really only there for our entertainment. Rarely do their predictions come true. Nobody intelligent is basing purchasing decisions on MOSR or Appleinsider's rantings. With that said, Spymac gave us the best entertainment of any of the rumor sites this time around. Some of their info was laughable, some seemed arguably credible. But in the end, they were the ONLY site (other than MOSR a couple days prior) to post anything at all regarding Macworld predictions.
Spymac did what they were designed to do. Give us some good entertainment while awaiting the keynote.

I liked that crazyapplerumors site, at least their BS is amusing. SpyMac's "sources" were just great. LOL, a bunch of people at work were asking me (resident Mac person) about the iWalk last week, just goes to show how easily led some people are by well-done fakes, even in the face of general knowledge, i.e. Steve saying no Apple PDA, etc. So many sites picked up on the iWalk it's not even funny. While MOSR/AI may not be right most of the time, at least their stuff is believable. I think all the hype and hoopla around this Expo made people want to believe in something like the iWalk.

those LOSERS made everything up.
They are so pathetic that i feel sorry for them. I mean, is Germany so whack that they have to create fake websites to entertain themselves? I mean i was always proud of being geeky, but atleast i go out hit on girls and get drunk as a monkey . Spymac is just sad.

They also probably wanted to build name recognition and get some advertising revenue. The site states that they get "millions of visitors a month" and that "your business can not afford to not be added to the growing list of advertisers who will be displayed on the new Spymac." The domain's been around for about 3-4 months and they have that kind of traffic already?
As a side note, I've dealt multiple times with many of the Mac retailers, both large and small, I wonder if any of them will advertise on SM? I might lose a little respect for them if they advertise there. I think we should band together and make a rumors site where we fabricate stories and reap email addresses and advertising bucks. We can start with the iFrame! If anyone asks, a friend of a friend's cousin who's dating an Apple Store manager spilled the beans.

Next Macworld I'm not getting online for the week before the keynote so that romor sites don't ruin the surprise.
