you do realize that there are dozens of other threads about this same question. you are not unique. if you need it now, buy now, if you can wait, wait.

I don't think he was trying to be cocky or rude. It's just that threads like this have been post about a million times before. Seems almost like every other thread is asking the same question.
Like he said if you need one now you should get it and not wait.
You never know what will be released and when. We are supposed to get new G5's by summer. 3GHz according the Steve.

Yes, this is a VERY common question, and for those of us who have been around a while, it strikes a little nerve. "Please read this, it is important" is a bad title. Unless someone has a gun to your head or you're on Who Wants to Be A Millionaire, this question is not that urgent - especially when you've seen this question over and over and over again.
You're new, so don't take it hard, just realize that you're not the only one vexed by this question.
Sounds to me like you need a new machine, so get one. Any of the current machines would kick the butt of what you have now.

whatever happened to that sticky about searching threads before posting? Could have sworn there used to be one in every category.

It's cool. Don't worry about it. It's just that So many more seasoned people and new people of the forums ask the same question. It gets repetative after a while. Other than that just ask away with questions.

I would prefer a new stick:
Sticky: Should you buy now or wait till...
With only one response:
If you can wait, wait... if you can't, then buy now. No one knows - not even the rumor sites.
