You'll either: run out of cloud storage or have a "connectivity" issue when you least want it to. I prefer my backups the old fashioned way.

my bad - thought you were relying solely on iCloud.

a couple of more apps:

5-0 Radio Pro (there is a free version)
WBGO-FM (best jazz on earth)
TWC-TV, HBO GO if you are a Time Warner cable sucker
StopWatch - a beautifully designed stopwatch
Seamless - can't beat ordering a six course meal from your sofa
MiniWebCam - transit video to a website live from your iPhone
TapDefense - turn based dungeon game

If you've got a multimedia server/computer, then get Plex and there'll be no need to fool around with your storage space at all.
Mankind's only chance is to harness the power of stupid.

That's not iCloud synching.

Device backups are a service offered by iCloud, but have nothing to do with synching via iCloud.

ok, I chose not to use this a while ago after too many failed experiences.

much like my mistress:
It was a dark and stormy day, I wanted to sync my phone, but couldn't find the stupid USB adapter. My mistress always warned me about the adapter, she would say "I'm warning you about the adapter!", then sip her cocktail. I never liked the bitch, but she made a good goulash.
