Carpe Stellarem, the new owners of the Duality software, are happy to announce that the company is now live. Now that the web site is live we can relase the long awaited Duality 4.02 update.

This update fixes the following:

- Issues regarding Localized.rsrc file translation under Panther
- The advanced pane now holds settings better
- Compiled with XCode/GCC 3.3
- Fixes issues with symbolic links
- Fixes various minor crashes
- Registration now moved to Carpe Stellarem's servers
- Minor interface changes

Please note: Icon sets are not supported under Panther. We are currently looking at possibly moving this functionality to a seperate app.

We are considering the future of Duality, and have been working with prototype versions. The Carpe Stellarem team is looking at revising the switching engine, and a new prototype interface for the program along with feature set has already been created. However, we will be continuing to research whether this is a viable option in continuing Duality, perhaps as a different product.

As a side note Carpe Stellarem will be at the Night of Panther event at the Seattle Apple Store tomorrow.

Does anyone know if Duality 4.02
works with Swiz themes -
I keep getting widget replacement
issues with the last version.

Forced to use Themechanger for

I tried Duality 4 milestones ages ago... all I got was "please enter your admin password" for some twelve time, and it never did it.

I downloaded Duality 4.02 today but get an instant crash in 10.3.

Taking a look at the crash log I see...

dyld: /Applications/Duality 4 GT.app/Contents/MacOS/Duality 4 GT can't open
> library:
> /Users/colincornaby/Documents/Gandalf/build/ThemeKit.framework/Versions/A/Them
> eKit (No such file or directory, errno = 2)

Now I don't have any users on my system named 'colincornaby' - I assume that this is pointing to a file on a developers machine that accidentlly got included with the release version?

I tried emailing goMac but got my message bounced back to me saying that his mailbox was full
