Hi all. I'm considering a Mac mini to replace my aging G4 Cube and I'm wondering if I can hook it up to the 15-inch Apple Studio display that I've been using with the Cube. I know it hooks up to most VGA monitors, but I haven't seen any mention of studio display compatibility. Anything extra I might need to get it working?

Thanks.

No, if you have a 15" Studio Display that you got at the same time as the Cube, it won't work. Almost all Apple 15" LCDs use the ADC connector, which the mini cannot use. You either have to buy a $100 DVI to ADC adapter, or get a new monitor (preferably an LCD with DVI if you want to maintain the excellent image quality of your Studio Display).

"That's Mama Luigi to you, Mario!" *wheeze*

Yes, it has the ADC connector. Oh well, good to know. Thanks for the reply.

Actually, your 15" Studio Display would fetch a nice price on eBay...these displays are rare now and people on eBay would pay a premium for it. Most likely you could finance a solid 17"-19" LCD for what you'd get for your 15" Studio.

Yeah, every so often, I think about selling it along with my Cube on eBay and then I come to my senses and change my mind.

I think you can find them for less then $100

Isn't that what you would need...

Perhaps it's the other way around?
