I wonder what distributed computing software is the more useful?

I mean what cause is the more important according to you?

I do SETI because it's cooler. (aren't there some dodgy issues with folding@home and patents? like their corporate sponsors automatically own anything you find out with their software? not sure, just vaguely remember reading something to that extent, probably completley wrong, but still...)

Yeah right, like you think if you find aliens with your computer you're going to own them??? No way, SETI will swoop in so fast and snatch those puppies away that you won't even remember that you ever saw them, along with 'your' computer that found them! :-]

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Folding. RC5 is just an outrageously stupid waste of processor power, and SETI is a total pseudo-scientific crock as well. At least Folding is working on one specific thing that will directly help solve a lot of the world's major diseases.
