It's April Fools. The shittiness of the HC font gives it away.

I like their WiiExpand and Super Smash Bros. Extreme better.
At least WiiExpand sounds possible now. Probable, in fact, to something along that line.

Sounds fabulous.
Kotaku - GTA IV Fabulously Expands With The Ballad of Gay Tony - Gta Iv
Your Liberty City adventures will continue this Fall on the Xbox 360, as Rockstar Games has announced Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony as the game's second downloadable episode.
In contrast to Grand Theft Auto IV's seedy biker gang expansion The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony is said to focus on the glitzy "high-end night life" of Liberty City. The second Xbox 360 exclusive episode will put players in the role of Luis Lopez, confirming previous rumors, as his part-time hoodlum duties are supplemented by full-time work for nightclub impresario Tony "Gay Tony" Prince.
According to the official announcement, "players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."

BTW, I smell a fantastic amount of PR for this. I can't wait til it hits the worthless peeps at the 24 hour news channels.

So my friends randomly decided to play this last night and invited me in. Its probably been 6 months since I played, and I have to say, I'm still in awe of the sheer size of the city and the quality of the graphics (car models, water and reflections).
It's a shame the driving is so difficult (seriously, if the ebrake helped you slide, it'd be all it took)

I'll pick it up, since the retail bundle of Lost & Gay is rumored to be $40 (no savings), but I think Arkham comes out the at the same time.
'Course, last time I pre-ordered a game from Amazon it arrived 5 days late, so I might have enough time to beat L&D.

Figured i'd bring this thread back to life with a quick and simple Bogues review of The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC.
Compared to The Lost & Damned this DLC is action packed, both DLC's were good expansions to a great game but TBoGT is really the better of the two. Unlike Lost & Damned TBoGT is completely insane, every mission is completely ridiculous. Between the new base jumping ability and exploding shell shotgun, this DLC is full of action. It has my highest recommendation but with such a busy Q4 of gaming its probably going to be missed out.

I got half-way through the first DLC before I got side-tracked.
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd get bored with GTA.

I didn't either, but it happened about 3/4s of the way through GTA IV. I have no desire to play either of the DLCs.

I think my case is a little different from yours, but yeah, I definitely grinded out the rest of the story after a certain point.
I think the real issue is that after last console gen, so many of the things that GTA did average (at best) have now been exceeded by several factors this gen. The driving feels like a step back, the cover system has been somewhat improved by GOW, the weapons system is still clunky, the camera can still be dizzying.
I was still awed by the raw city last time I picked this up, but as a gameplay experience, its kind of lacking now.

I stopped playing right after I got my Warm Coffee achievement. Might as well quit while you're ahead. Right?

The crappy controls was my number one gripe with the game. Unfortunately I tried to go back and finish the game after I completed Burnout Paradise. I could not tolerate GTAIV's driving controls. The difference between both games were like night & day.

I can sympathize with that 100%
I really don't know what the deal with their driving was. It was probably my number one gripe with the game, and I never ever would have seen that coming in a million years. It's pretty much the exact opposite of GTA III.
Controls aside, Halo's freakin' driving is better, which is disturbing. Actually Borderlands too, even though I've deemed their car "too responsive".

Hello to all. Mac User #001 is back!
*crickets*
Fine! Don't admit you missed me!
Anyways, I just heard that it has been leaked that The Lost and The Damned will be making its way to the PC version of GTA IV, and then presumably Gay Tony as well. Which, if any, should I bother picking up? All reviews say both are worth it, of course, but I figured I'd ask you guys. I expect this will be a month or so down the line still anyways.

Actually a few weeks ago I wondered where you'd been.
I guess it depends on how much liked the IV. I enjoy bikes, and so far love the new weapons, so TLaTD gets my approval.

Well, if you don't use your zombie-resurrection powers occasionally, you lose them.
That and Dakar asked nicely.

The hilarious part is if GTA5 releases this gen, for some of us it'll be a little tainted thanks to this.

Another thing about that mod. Why don't Rockstar just pay up and licence some real cars into the next game.

Car makers are pussies about the level of damage modeling put into games such as these.
And that's without the possibility of them objecting to the game itself.

HOLY CRAP!
Next gen console hardware better match this. I'm going to be disappointed if Burnout doesn't end up looking this good.

Yeah, one can only hope Rockstar as an organized group of devs could streamline the technology to make an approximation possible next gen.
