Oh, so it's cuttlefish? Damn, and I thought that was the funniest line of the episode.

Nice to see my ignorance broadcast in... lots of duplicate posts.

I really like when 21 (the fat one) is talking to Hank about his immortality.

Hank squints and says in a very serious (and very un-hank) manner "Why are you telling me this?"

Also, I am rooting for the murderous moppets to get killed, creepiest characters on the show, by far.

Another part I laughed out loud at.

Dean is trying to get helper to stop drumming. First helpers voice cuts out, then Dean says 'disable alarm functions' and just the blinking light turns off on his head.

I was really happy to see the speed suit. I had just been wondering about what happened to that line of thinking the other day.

Also, Brock's "son" sucks.

Great character though, you notice even Hank cuts him off from talking about how cool he is after he tackles helper, as if Durmot's coolness is already wearing off on him.

He's supposed to suck. I think that's the point. I agree that the schtick isn't that funny, but I'm willing to wait and see where they go with it. I have a feeling it's all leading to something.

I actually like the moppets, but they have had quite a bit of screentime this season. Probably too much.

We need a Brock episode. Not enough Brock.

I forgot to make this prediction a few episodes ago, and after las episode I fell it's still pretty likely... but I want to predict that a situation is manufactured where Doc Venture end up wanting/missing the Monarch as his arch.

On a side note, about the last episode, isn't it the Guild's fault that the Monarch killed Dr. Gugom? They are supposed to guard against "improperly matched animosity"

The reason why Monarch killed Dr. Dugong was that he pretended he was Dr. Venture. The match was improper, but in the wrong direction.

Well, the guy was a complete weenis.

it's interesting to note that the Monarch isn't the complete failure of a villain he's been made out to be in the past.
I'm surprised anyone replied to my footnote. I felt pretty nerdy typing it up.

Heh, no she really loves the show. We discovered it at the same time.

Since we both have to work so early on Mondays we've been forced to watch the new season separately and then talk about it on Monday...kinda like this thread.

Did anyone else notice that Stephen Colbert wasn’t doing the voice for Prof. Impossible?

One sour note from the past month (aside from my car getting hit yet again) is that Mr. Stephen Colbert has decided not to reprise his role as Professor Impossible this season, for reasons which probably have something to do with him being all super-famous, super-busy, and no longer in need of a few hundred bucks here and there. We figured this would happen eventually, considering his monumental success in the years since our first season, but we held out hope that the WGA strike would leave him with enough bored free time on his hands that he'd have a go at it. But after getting shuffled around from his assistant to his assistant's assistant to his agent to his manager, one of them finally shot us an email saying: "Stephen has neither the time nor the interest in participating in your project."

Was the "nor the interest" really necessary? I would have bought the "time" part without question, but man...you gotta kick a guy when he's down like that? Well maybe I'm not interested in your ice cream, mister! Or your book. Unless someone buys it for me for Christmas.

It appears as though Mr. Colbert is in need of a little visit by some highly influential friends.

I know I say this every week but "Best episode of the new season so far!"

Hilarious, to many jokes to name. As usual, I was almost falling asleep by the time it was on, so another viewing is in order.

Colonel Gentleman really stole the show for me. Although the first big battle scene was classic Venture Brothers, I almost died when the giant man (now the tiny man) burst through the wall and starting battling the robot.

I missed it last night because we had a stupid power outage. Luckily my TiVo caught the 2am repeat.

The bad news is that I won't have time to watch it until tomorrow. Meh.

I hate power outages...

Yesterday's episode was really good, but I don't know if it's the best so far. It was certainly a shock to see the return of Col. Gentleman.

But somehow, not nearly as irritating as the reemergence of the two pirates Brock killed with his ass.

Yet another great episode last night.

Highlights include the Ghost Pirate Captain getting hooked on tranquilizer darts, the entire #21, #24 and #1 sub-plot, and the mysterious OSI agents in black witty back and forth banter.

"I like the cut of this guy's jib"
"I like the cut of his hair"

Thoughts?

I think the best parts of the episode were him getting hooked on those darts and freaking out when he was going through withdrawal.

Weird that they had two Jonas Jr. episodes in a row... but I thought this one was good. I didn't think the Voltron spoof really went anywhere interesting, but I loved how Jonas just kicked the Monarchs ass with no effort. Pretty good stuff.

One more standalone episode and then a two part finale. I like where they are going...
