By the way just cause we could date, doesn't necessarily mean we would have sex right away... though I confess... he's really really nice, and really really hot... so it'd be incredibly hard to say no...

If you're putting down seed to make a church, you should probably avoid spilling some on the parishioners.

Why is this UNETHICAL par se ?

It happens in non-gay churches as well, and in general, what's wrong with a pastor dating a member of the church ? (Except, of course, you are a Catholic priest)

It doesn't automatically mean that you are using your position to take advantage of the church member. It can be done in a completely ethical and moral way.

That's the thing, technically pastors aren't supposed to date congregation members. At the same time though, he's not really looking to me for spiritual guidance, and he's the one who seems more into me... well at first... there's that tipping point where I get crazy and giddy... but I dono... I know I would catch flack from a few people.

Why "technically" ?

Doesn't that all have more to do with the maturity and experience of the persons involved ?

I would not make it a general rule that a pastor dating a member is always a bad thing.

I'm thinking this "church thing" is just a ruse for you to meet new boyfriends. Don't turn your dating issues into a career
