Greetings to all: Have recently reinstalled the OSX 10.5.6 after doing everything what I believe to be ok. I now have problems with the software updates or downloads it gives me an error of "mounting failure". Can anyone help with this?

Download the 10.5.8 combo updater directly from Apple's site.

Combo updaters are often helpful at resolving many issues, including yours.

well it sounds like your 10.5.6 reinstall didn't work out so well. Why did you have to reinstall to begin with?

How did you reinstall? Archive-install, erase-install?

Have you ran the apple hardware test to see if it can identify any hardware issues?

after the update I found that I still have a problem with "mounting failure". The strange this is that I installed entourage and office 2007 for mac and those updates were permitted...
