VPN Unlimited has announced the availability of its Mac client, launched under a open beta program. Subscribing to a VPN server can allow for access to blocked websites, Wi-Fi connection privacy, and the ability to bypass ISP restrictions. VPN Unlimited's servers are located in the US, UK, the Netherlands and Germany. Including unlimited bandwidth and connection speed, users can utilize their VPN access with up to five devices, and up to three VPN Unlimited accounts can be used on same device or computer. The client apps for both iOS and OS X offer automatic VPN setup.

Users of its already-existing iOS VPN service are being offered discounted cost subscription packages starting from $4 per month. Additionally, Mac users who already own a VPN Unlimited account and use it on iOS devices can use it on Mac computers; new accounts can be used on both platforms. New accounts include 10 days of free connection. Pricing for Mac users is subject to revision within one month's time.

Cinemagram update includes new camera mode, point and shoot creation of moving photo

Moving photo creator and sharing app, Cinemagram, has released an update this week on iTunes. Offering the creation of images that are half-photo and half-video, users can record a short video and automatically turn it into a moving photo, add text if desired, and share the product as a GIF or video via social networking platforms or by e-mail.

In v4.0, Cinemagrams are simpler to make, with the inclusion of a point and shoot function within the app. Its new camera mode automatically creates moving photos by intuitively drawing a mask around the moving region of the video. Users can now also share cinemagrams to Pinterest from one's in-app feed. Cinemagram requires iOS 7 or later to run, and is free to download.

While VPNUnlimited offers up to 5 devices per account, only one device at a time can be actively connected to their VPN. Seems like a good deal right now.
