I am coming round to the opinion, that unscrupulous parties are pushing totally unrealistic MWNY predictions, in order to make whatever is announced a relative disappointment.

What do think?

That unscrupulous party was, at least originally, Apple. They built this show up months and months ago. Because of them building it up so much, everyone assumed that OS X wouldn't be "real" until now, because this was when they would pre-load OS X. When they pre-loaded, they would "remove the debug code," turn on the global "accelerate" variable, and it would be faster than System 6.0.2.

It should have been a wake-up call when they pre-loaded early: This is the real OS X, and not much will be happening with OS X at MWNY.

I didn't make it clear, but I was leaning more towards the hardware side when I posted.

unrealistic perdictions???

hmmmmmmm............

Well, some will be
Some won't be.

With Apple's blackout it fuels the fire for speculation and perdictions that are interesting to say the least. Whether those parties that involve themselves in this are "unscrupulous" or not, I feel that is rather harsh.

If you chose to get involved in following the rumors (reading them), take them for what they're worth. It's getting to the point where there should be a notice that says:

The rumors or views expressed are not neccesarily those of Apple. All rumors may or may not be factual. If you are looking for 100% actual information that is not misleading DO NOT READ RUMOR WEBSITES OR RUMOR FORUM THREADS! Wait for Apple's announcements.

But that wouldn't be fun now would it????

Here's counting the hours to the keynote!
