I'm buying two of the following DIMMs off a friend in the US, the part number is a bit different to the G4 part number that crucial uses on their web site, so I'm just checking to see if anyone knows of a reason why this ram may not work in my G4/400. It seems fine to me, but I thought I should check first. He has used the DIMMs in a P3-600 machine for a couple of months... any reason why I shouldnt buy them ? they were originally bought from crucial.com.

the crucial part number is: CT32M64S4D8E

or go to: http://www.crucial.com/store/PartSpe...e=CT32M64S4D8E to read about the exact DIMM.

256MB SDRAM / PC-100 / CL=2 / Unbuffered / Non-Parity / 8ns / 3.3V / 32Meg x 64

any comments would be really appreciated.. thanks

just another question.. what exactly do they mean by "32Meg x 64" ??

I know the data paths are 64 bit, but what does the 32meg mean ?

I'm assuming it means there are 8 chips to a board because 8x32=256 MB am I correct ?
