Hi folks

I'm trying to prepare some simple GIF web buttons in Photoshop 7. I have a dark blue background which will match my site, but when I choose 'save for web', although the colours of the text/buttons are rendered faithfully, the blue background gets washed out. It's a significant colour change and this means it won't match my plans for background colours elsewhere on the site.

Why should this be happening? Surely the 'save for web' command can recognise the RGB values of the background? It happens with both GIF and JPEG settings.

Thanks

Thanks for the tip. Not sure if it was the ICC profile I found, but I changed from 'uncompensated colour' to 'document colour' and it fixed the problem.
