I have an old 400Mhz TiPB, 512MB Ram, running 10.4.1, and I think the LCD is going bad. The screen locks up and random colors kind of phaze across the screen. If I let it sit long enough it comes back for a few minutes, and then it will start again. I managed to hook up to an external display through VGA and SVideo and the external display doesn't have any problems when the LCD is freaking out. So does this mean the LCD is shot? Is it user replaceable or is it not worth fixing? Thanks for the tips.

Sick,

It sounds to me like the connectors between the machine and the display are going bad, rather than the display itself. No idea what this costs to fix.
