i have two hard drives in my G4. the slave has 3 partitions. is it possible to "erase" the contents of one of the partitions .. leaving the actual partition is tact?

use Apple Disk Utility (in ../Applications/Utilities)

you'll be able to erase the partition you want...

late 2001 iBook (combo drive)
384MB, 20GB

i wasn't sure about that. do you mean that if you use the "delete" button while selecting a particular volume that the contents of the partition/volume will be erase but the partition will remain in tact?
