Hi there.
I can't believe there isn't more therads about the keynote tomorrow. Am i the only one going mildly insane about whether or not anything new will happen with the iBook tomorrow?

Or is it just that people have lost hope that anything migth happen (concidering the previous months with burned hope about i.e April iBook update etc).

Anyway, tomorrow is the day many of us have been waiting for. And i'm just curious what you guys think will be announced/released...

Oh, I think Intel will be highly talked about, one way or another.
iTunes with podcasting, maybe an iBook update.

toffe, you aren't alone. you should see my blog. everything in it is...I hope the iBooks get updated. I love iBooks but they need an update. 1 Day until the keynote! I wonder what will happen. LOL!

If iBooks get updated that will not only make my day--but my week.

Based on how long it's been since an iBook update, I'd think Apple would at least give it some sort of an upgrade. The rumor sites have been quiet on the iBook issue, and the Apple store website is still listing iBooks as shipping "same business day". Neither of these two things seem very promising for iBook upgrades. Last week, however, MacConnection sent me a "New iBooks!" email, so maybe that's an encouraging note. I was thinking about upgrading my G3 900, but after I fixed my screen I think I'll hang onto it for another year or so.

According to the CNET.com report, it sounds like Apple is going to start using Intel's chips next year starting with the lower-end models. This probably will include the mac mini, eMac, and iBook.

I'm hoping for a cheaper Airport Express as that's my next apple purchase.

The iBook needs to be updated. It's a few months behind the standard life cycle.

I agree. The last update was in October 2004, that's quite a long time.

Is there a way to watch the keynote streaming somewhere on the net?

I'm with you. I've got a card in my pocket that's burning a hole in my wallet. I'm still holding out hope that the iBook bump will be announced tomorrow or before the end of WWDC. Apple can't keep holding out like this; it's 2 months overdue for an update, and buyers like me just won't wait indefinitely.

Is it typical for new hardware to be released after the keynote? I've been only following these things for a year or so, but I don't remember anything new coming out after the first day. The iBook has been so long without an upgrade, I was hoping to possibly see something new and exciting. I'm not planning on buying right now, but if something super-cool came out I could be tempted...

Good question. Any reassurance anyone? I'm typing this on my PC, ready to switch, but I don't know how long I can hold out for this *maybe* change! If the iBook does change, do you think it will take longer for the new iBooks to ship? (I'd like to get it before I go out of town, but don't want the 30GB iBook from the store).

The lounge has had plenty of discussion. No need for it in every damned forum!
