Hello,

I have an iMac with OS 9.2.2. Last fall, I started to have bus error on start up...I would do a second reboot and the computer would work fine...Now things are getting worst, because I have a bus error every time I start up...The only way to make the computer works is to start up with extensions off...Then I don't do anything special...Then I reboot and most of the ime, its ok...BUT even there, sometimes I'll get a bus error!!

I can't even rebuild the desktop because I get a bus error...I guess you got the picture...

I don't have a cd burner so I can't back up all my stuff for now (and therefore I can't erase and reinstall).

Is there someone who can help and tell me that to do (is there something to do)?! For now, I just put it in sleep mode because I don't want to shut it down...

Thanks in advance!!

I looked in my error codes reference, and it sounds most likely hardware related....maybe bad ram.

More details ie: type of machine, error code#, etc. might help but still doesn't look good.

God luck.
Please keep in mind the ambiguously selective general understandings we've all agreed upon...
