I hope your very confident in the seller. That price for the MBP is in the range of "this thing gotta be hot" (as in stolen). The seller is either desperate, clueless or just to damn rich to care. But if everything is kosher let be the first to congratulate you on being the luckiest SOB in town.

I'm actually about to sell my workhorse 2x2.3Ghz G5, 4GB RAM, 160GB and 250GB HDs, Radeon X850 and was going to offer friend-price first at $1k, so I'd say that's an alright price.

As for investing in used PPC now: depends entirely upon the needs. I went Mac Pro as its faster and more flexible for my current needs - Snow Leopard will be nice but that's a year or more away still.

That was the third computer that you "bought" and still you don't have anything. Why are you wasting everybody's time?

whats wrong with changing my mind so that i can get the best mac for me. i changed my mind from the 24" imac because i went to the apple store and used it for prolly an hour and i didn't like the glossy lcd at all, i have used one before just not extensively. I am going to get a refurb 2.0 mini on tuesday (when they get more and update the refurb page) for $679.
