Hello All,

I am having real problems getting the cd writer in my C2D to write CD's or DVD's. Most media I try fails, and it's all branded media.

Are they sensitive to thebrand of media, or is it likely I have a dodgy drive?

are you using + or - discs?

Have you check if the drive is + or - or if it is +/-

You may have just got wring discs.

It;s supposed to support both. It fails on CD's too!

Sounds to me like a dodgy drive. Also, don't jar or bump the machine while its burning, or you'll make coasters every time. If it's failing on branded media though, I'd say its a bad drive. Just for chuckles, try some no-name media if you have it and see what the results are.
