Apple facilitations are usually very fast--Sometimes as little as 3 days.

We send out 3-5 Macs/week, and they usually come back in 5 to 7 business days, unless there is a backordered parts situation.

My cinema display took 2 weeks to do, I live about 50 miles from apple's HQ.
Now it took 2 weeks, and all they did was take it out of the box, include a slip saying no defect found, dump it in the box (break the leg on it), and send it back.
The replacement only took 3 weeks. But big difference. lol
Just as long as it isn't going to:
Teleplan International
Luisville Kentucky.
That place is nasty.. beware!

My Cube went in for a video problem. I shipped it on a Thursday, Apple repaired it (new Radeon and main logic board) and shipped it on Friday and I had it back Monday.

For my Wallstreet "screen issue" repair under warrantee...
Apple sent me a prepaid box that reached me the next day.
I UPSed it out that day.
It was back three days later.
VERY happy camper!

YESSS !!! That's the Apple we like to hear about. That's the way they need to be responding to customers to keep em loyal. I've had some very positive experience like 'Love' described.
Ya gotta follow through and support the customers that have supported you.

I got one even more exceptional about a year and a half ago. Original iBook, dead sound, flakey hard drive, warranty repair.
Box arrived via Airborne from Apple on Monday morning. I shipped it back the same day via dropoff box (rather than waiting for a pickup at my house the next day). It arrived at Apple Austin on Tuesday and they repaired it and sent it back the same day they got it and Airborne had it back at my door on Wednesday morning.
