Virtual Game Station was the answer for OS9, but that came out years ago; there are no plans to bring it to OSX I think.

yeah, i believe the 'grinch' PS2 emulator is vaporware. the guys that were doing it were hoping to work with sony on it, but i'm sure sony wouldn't give them the time of day. oh, well, it would've been cool...
there is PSX emulator for X, but it's still being worked on.
check out this thread from the xlr8yourmac.com forums:

it's called Flarestorm. In order to run it, you need to find a PSX BIOS on the web.
i installed it, and got the PSX startup screen, but couldn't read any of the games i had. i don't really care that much, i have CVGS, so if i really want to play, i can just boot into 9.
Flarestorm is still in it's infancy; it's good to know that someone out there is working on it, though.

Here ya go:
Flarestorm
Not sure how well it works, haven't tested it myself. Better than nothing at all Hopefully you have some luck with it. It's still in the early stages of development.
Forgot to mention this requires a Playstation ROM.
Edit: Looks like I was just beaten to the punch

It's legal to have playstation BIOS if you own a Playstation. Just like with ROM files.
