I caught X-Files last night for the first time in over a year, and was surprised to see those guys kick the bucket. I guess that makes 4 fewer characters for whom C.Carter has to write into the finale.

Please tell me you're not serious. I love X-Files, dont get me wrong, but that episode last night was a total snooze fest. The acting was hideous, the plot was not engaging in the least bit.

That said, who died? or was it all of them?

The Lone Gunmen, as stated above. No comment on the acting or plot, just surprise that Carter killed off those guys.

Agreed, it's almost as though he read the script, thought "man this is boring, we're gonna have to kill some people so they will watch. Ah, what the heck just kill em all, the show is almost over anyway."

BS

Yeah, I was saddened. I think I was one of very few people who watched their spinoff.

LMAO!! You didn't miss much man. Wasn't that great. Besides, the previews for it pretty much told you that they were toast.

I too have lost interest in the X-Files sans-Mulder. Can't wait for him to return for the finals. Stupid John Dogget!

Are we sure they're really dead? Remember, we never saw the bodies. The caskets were closed. Like the poster in Mulder's office says, "I want to believe."

I missed last night's ep (the first I've missed in three seasons which either shows my devotion or masochism), as well, but caught the recap/review on Ain't It Cool.

As much as I hate to say it, but .... whatever.

p.s., "Jump the Shark" was the title of the episode. O' the irony.
I am stupidest when I try to be funny.

The ending was a big surprise, and even that guy from the Men in Black showed up for their funeral.

Your kidding!!!

They killed them off!!!!

This is why I wish great shows that are running out of ideas would stop making new episodes!!!

It just makes it so that when they DO get canceled they have died with all of us remembering how crapy it was at the end!!!

I liked the Lone Gunmen god damn it!!

Weird, in the trailer FOX said that "one of these charcters will die" and THREE of them died.
Actual conversation between UCLA and Stanford during a login on early Internet - U: I'm going to type an L! Did you get an L? S: I got one-one-four. L! U:Did you get the O? S: One-one-seven. U: <types G> S: The computer just crashed.

Just remember that we didn't see their dead bodies. Remember that this is The X-Files. You're not really dead on the show until the viewers see your body smashed into little bits on the floor. And even then, it's not guaranteed.

I very nearly cried when I saw the caskets. At least they are in Arlington.

RIP

I guess that's a way to get people to watch. I remember seeing one of those lead-in ads for the show 24 a couple weeks ago saying "and now, someone will die, next on 24" or something like that. Of course, at least one person gets shot in each episode.

The Lone Gunmen were significant enough on The X-Files that they had to have some kind of closure before the series ended. And after that horrible spinoff last year, the characters deserved to die, if only because of bad writing.
