When the lid is closed on my 12" rev. B, it doesn't sit "flush"... There is a bit of a shake; i.e., I can push down on the top of the PB, by the latch and it moves downward... Maybe a couple of mm.. So if I do this repeatedly, it'll shake and or rattle.

Normal?

don't know about the shake but the new pbs all have small gaps now when closed. don't quote me on that because i havent really played with the 12 or the 15 too much, but i also noticed the space between the lid and the base when closed on my new 17.

maybe it's apples way of addressing the screen gunk issue on the ti's.

You can get these bumpers from radtech

I have them for my 17" rev and they work great. Make it feel much more solid. You get enough for 2 laptops when you order.

Holy hell you Apple people are anal

I just got my firt Apple, also a 12" PB. There is very slight movement of the screen when it's closed, but the thing is still 10x's better constructed then any laptop I've ever worked with. I don't know if that's what your referring to, but I see no problem with it.
