The best war movie is "The Thin Red Line"
And that's all I have to say about that.

That movie was so boring. My dad and I watched it for about 45 minutes then turned it off.

The best war movies I have seen I thought were Full Metal Jacket which I think is one of the best every made. Apocalypse Now and my third choice is Wind Talkers.

OMG you actually liked windtalkers? I remember being suckered into paying money to see that at the theatre, still mad about wasting 2 hours of my life on it
I'll add Platoon and Paths of Glory to the rest of your list though.
Ah yes, war is bad bad bad bad.
Sometimes I think it might be better just to make a movie about invading Iraq...it would be cheaper and would probably yeild the same effect

Gods and Generals, that one coming out soon, is looking interesting. I might check i out. Saving Pvt. Ryan was very good, IMO, and so was Full Metal Jacket.
