When your iPhone needs a trackpad, you blew it.

While it's nice that you can now use a trackpad for your desktop, and it's nice that you can use it on either the left or right side, I'd rather see a single keyboard/trackpad accessory, with the trackpad in the middle of a split keyboard.

Magic or not (and iPhone or not), who would want to actually use a trackpad for their desktop? The whole thing seems silly, but I guess that's a bit out of the current scope.

All Intel Mac desktops do except for older Mac Pros, and all Intel MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

I would have to say it's a niche product. I think it is very cool/different but I'm currently satisfied with my Magic Mouse.

Yeah, I was only commenting on the MacPros... Seems everyone has BT but me. Does anyone actually think the "Magic" Trackpad is useful?

There's a whole thread on it where it's pretty obvious that yes, people do.

Seems like with more people using laptops now, it might be better to have the same type of navigation on both desktops and laptops now. Plus, the trackpad can maybe take advantage of the gesturing that the magic mouse just cannot do in the future.

The multi touch gestures can be really useful especially for panning around in a graphic document. Now that I think about it I might pick one up and use it on the left side of the keyboard, and keep my wacom tablet on the right.

Think big picture. This could be a precursor to that rumored Apple TV with iOS. The trackpad is the perfect input device for your living room lean back experience.

They better make something happen.
I just got a Roku HD. Together with Netflix, this is awesome.
My AppleTV is going to be relegated to second row now.

Sadly, it would be US-only, so I don't care.
(For the same reason, I knda doubt that Apple does)
