Haha, yeah. Good eye by the way. You see that and a SideKick II on the desk. The T637 is in a speakerphone charger. I use the T637 with Salling Clicker so when I leave the desk, it locks screen, changes status, etc. I also use the T637 as a Bluetooth GPRS modem for my MBP and voice calls. The SideKick II I use for email, AIM and sometimes Web. I'm trying to get to a single device that runs on the Cingular network, and I'm considering a BlackBerry 8700c, but Cingular wants an extra $40 to enable the modem use of the 8700c.

Well I will oblige and post a night shot with lava-lamps, illuminated MBP keyboard and all

The blue glow under the laptop is from an external Harddrive. I'm using the MBP as my main machine now. The screen is a Dell 2005FPW and I use a Logitech S530mac cordless desktop.

yes, books are very good.

by "regular book" do you mean fiction/novels (non-grapic)?

well, in more detail,
the photo above includes many of my music books
including history, criticism, fake books, and the Sibelius manual.
across the room i have my Judaica collection
including sacred literature as well as history, etc
Then there's the comics and art books
the rest of it I guess I'd call "literature," some classic, some modern, anthologies, etc

p.s. that shot is from my house, not a dorm. scope that furniture -- dat's some straight up (albeit beat-up) antique wood furniture goin' on there

I think the poster wanted to specifically have a PPC Apple as well as an intel.

I much much much prefer the Powerbook design over the MacBook Pro design. MB Pro is just a bit too big.

The 2005fpw's are great. I'd highly recommend getting one. My brother just picked up the newer model, 2007wfp I think, and it looks even better - much cooler stand design. You can pick them up for well under $400 now, which is an amazing price considering all of the inputs and features you get (tilt, rotate, etc.).

Thanks! Heh the porsche images are from www.rsportscars.com and more specifically here: http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/techart_gtsport.asp they aren't quite big enough so I centered them with a white BG.

blackbird: It's a pretty nice one, I loved those two movies so my gf bought it for me when there was a poster sale on campus.

The Dell monitors that are actually Samsungs are really very nice. I recommend the new 24" in that came out. I've got a couple of Dell 19"s at home I've had since 2002, and they both perform very well.

Then again, its Dell - so you can continue to swap the screen every couple of days until you are happy. Maybe there are newer revisions of the 20"screen out now that are better?

Funny story behind those speakers and the PowerBook. Both were hit by an electrical storm and damaged. The right speaker started spewing smoke out of its front ports, and my PowerBook's hard drive and sound card were both ruined.

When they are working, I love them. The speakers have got a clean and accurate sound. I am a Music & Sound Recording Major, so I take my speakers seriously. You can't got wrong with the Alesis M1 Active mKII. And on top of it all, they are priced right.

dell 20" lcd's are fine for about 95% of the population. ive noticed uneven backlighting on the top right corner of mine and it never bothers me any more (although it used to when i looked for it). i dont know bout apple cinema's but i know for a fact that the imac 20" lcd's suffer from this symptom as well. for less than $400 theyre a steal imho.
NOW YOU SEE ME! 2.4 MBP and 2.0 MBP (running ubuntu)

Your ragging on the Dell 20 inch display is unwarranted. When they initially were released, there were some color banding issues, but those have since been resolved and didn't effect nearly as many p eople as made to seem. I personally love mine, and have no regrets at all about not getting the cinema display.

When they are working, I love them. The speakers have got a clean and accurate sound. I am a Music & Sound Recording Major, so I take my speakers seriously. You can't got wrong with the Alesis M1 Active mKII. And on top of it all, they are priced right.
Ouch! Well, they look good. Nice job man. I'm gonna look those up.
