I bought the wireless Mighty Mouse for my MacBook yesterday, but recently I've noticed that the right-click function seems to be difficult to activate.
When I press on the right side of the mouse, sometimes I have to press on the far edge to make it work, sometime just pressing the normal place will work. Other times I'll have to press with more force than normal or push toward the line of symmetry on the mouse instead of straight down; but its rather frustrating when I want to right-click something but by accident primary-click and then have to go back again and do it again.
The button has also started to squeak.
I've only had this mouse for less than 24 hours... <_<
Is this normal for a Mighty Mouse? Or should I return this one and get another?

Not normal for a wired MM. Mine acts like a multi-button mouse. It feels and acts EXACTLY as if I had a separate button on the right. Maybe it's time to take the thing back and point it out to the store.

When I purchased my MacBook, the trackpad button wasn't functional. So, I had to bring it to the Apple Store to transfer data and get it fixed. Now I have to exchange the mouse I just bought.
This is frustrating, but I guess it's worth it.
Thanks ghporter.

Are you sure you're lifting your index finger? Otherwise the right-click won't register as such, but as a left-click. This takes a little getting used to.

I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I would take it back. I have the wireless Mighty Mouse as well and it's never done anything like that.

Mine works just fine, but I was getting sick of the scroll ball getting dirty so quick. So I bought a Logitech MX revolution.
Best thing I ever did.
