I am having trouble compiling DSPAM(http://www.nuclearelephant.com/projects/dspam/) on my 10.4.1 Server. I posted a message to their mailing list, but no answers yet. I thought I would try here and see if anyone has it installed. Please move if this forum is not the appropriate one.
Here is what I posted:
Hi all,

Following the notes here:
http://dspam.nuclearelephant.com/dspam-users/7056.html

I am trying to compile DSPAM on a clean install of OS X Server 10.4. I have Mysql version 4.1.10a installed and when I issue the make command I get the following error:

/usr/lib/mysql/libmysqlclient.a(charset.o) definition of common _all_charsets (size 1024)
/usr/bin/libtool: internal link edit command failed
make[3]: *** [libdspam.la] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

My config.log is available here: www.theapplegates.com/config.html

Any help would be appreciated, as I am new to compiling programs, and do not want to use the spamassassin that comes with the new 10.4 OS

Thanks,
Paul Applegate

It should be noted that the author of Dspam is a member of these boards, as he is now a mac user. His user name is jzdziarski. You might try PMing him.

I saw his post on his new powerbook. He stated somewhere that support requests should be make to the mailing list, which I have done. I do not want to bother him "personally", so I thought I would ask here as well.

All fixed, had to compile MYSQL from the source and all is well.
