Is it possible to play diablo 1 without the Cd. Its a problem that you have to buy to cd's if you want to play multi.
Unreal, Carmagedon and other multi-player games.

I figure there's probably an unsupported and possibly illegal hack/k[r]ack floating about online...but keep in mind that it's probably illegal...just something to ponder and an answer to your question.

Have you tried making a disk image of the CD with Disk Copy or ShrinkWrap and running it from that?

I had the same dillemma (wanted to play MP, but only had the one CD), but I am lucky enough to have a burner, so I just made a copy.
Be happy.

You can make a disk image and it will work until you upgrade from version 1.0 (or whatever the first version was called). I was able to maount an image and play diablo 1 until i went onto battle.net where it automatically downloads the updates. If you just want to do multiplayer then you should be fine.
