I'm getting interference with my telephone. My dsl modem and telephone are hooked up to the same telephone jack. This hasn't caused problems in the past but since I disconnected the computer to reorganize my office, I'm getting a buzz everytime the telephone rings and when I hang up the telephone.

I've unplugged the telephone from the jac and the buzz goes away. However, since it is my office, I really need to have the telephone and I have only one jack.

Suggestions are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bob

I will let you know what it is. Your DSL line. This is why you should get a cable modem

contact your phone company. they can provide you with a filter that may stop this. the phone line plugs into the filter then the filter plugs into the phone.

ps be happy you didn't get a cable modem. otehrwise you would be up at night wondering which one of your hacker neighbors is sniffing the modem line and stealing all your private info, all the while downloading gigs of porn causing you to experience slow downs
