Any ideas what app I can use to extract a VCD to avi or mov? The file is in .DAT format on the VCD. Quicktime 5 can read it but does not have the option to export. Tried my old version of Premiere (4.2) and that doesn't recognise the file.

Do you have QT Pro? (if you had pro 4, you don't have pro 5, most likely).

You need Pro to export.

Reinstall QT4, open it, and export...
