Instead of the time-consuming hit-or-miss old fashioned way of building support for your cause and petitioning governments - there's a cheaper, faster alternative. Terrorism.
Don't want to wait until the next legislative assembly to have your voice heard? Blow something up. Or at least threaten to blow something up. Peacenik governments will meet your every demand in rapid order. New leadership? OK, here's a new guy. He understands your plight.
Wonder what they want now? Better hurry up and give it to them.

Yeah, that new Socialist gov't really dissuaded this type of stuff, didn't they?
It is great that the railline employee found it, but no one can find them all.

Yes, excellent work. They didn't even have to kill thousands of innocent civilians or crack down on civil liberties.

I have a suspicion bin Laden will go this way, too.
Nonetheless, the police managed to track them down, as clt2, without taking extreme measures.

Yeah Too Bad Saddam didn't just blow himself up. It would have been a lot easier.

Too Bad we're talking about terrorists here, those *other* uncooperative former buddies.
I realize everyone keeps mixing them up, but please, pay attention.

One in the same.
Same goes with the terrorists.
IF they would have just blown themselves up we'd have no reason to invade.

Invade what?
Iraq? For what terrorists?
Those that existed in the Kurdish territories only because Saddam had no control over them?
